I have absolutely no idea why I'm only joining dreamwidth now, I've been part of fandom since I was like 13 and I was unaware what exactly dreamwidth was until like three days ago... I'm excited to explore!
If you haven't already seen it, I recommend snowflake_challenge as a way to meet other fans. It runs in January. I wrote this for it, which has a list of communities:
I saw references to that in my explorations of dreamwidth! I was considering looking into it but I definitely will now! I'm a bit late to start but I might double up on days or just pick and choose prompts...
Snowflake is low-pressure, and you won't find a better place to meet people. I suggest that you do Day 1 Introduce Yourself now, and Challenge 7 on January 13, then catch up the others when you can. If some don't interest you, that's fine, just skip those.
